A day after Asif Ali Zardari issued a clarion call for protest against PTI government, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday made a categorical assertion that Zardari would soon go to jail.
Addressing a public gathering in Jamrud, PM Khan said a pressure was being exerted on the government to provide relief to the ‘corruption-tained’ opposition leaders and grant them ‘NRO’.
He said the country was suffering from economic problems due to policies of the previous governments of PML-N and the PPP.
He insisted that he wouldn’t spare anyone who plundered national wealth.
Co-chairperson of the Pakistan People’s [arty (PPP), Asif Ali Zardari, perhaps for the first time after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government took power, has issued a clarion call to the party supporters and activists to gear up for a march against the PTI-led government.
Though without naming the PTI directly, Zardari said the time had now come to take an ‘action’ against them. He said the PPP would oust them from the Parliament.
The former president was of the view that the downtrodden segment of the country was suffering badly and the government was turning a blind eye to them olutrightly.
Zardari asked his party workers to be ready for a march towards Islamabad. H9e added that the party won’t stage a sit-in demonstration like the they staged at the D-Chowk. “We will remain on the streets until they resign.”
