The spokesperson told that Pakistan did not target the Indian submarine in the light of government’s policy to maintain peace.

It is pertinent to mention here that it was the second time after November, 2016 when Pakistan Navy detected an Indian submarine.

Tensions between India and Pakistan soared after Pulwama attack in held-Kashmir where a bomb attack killed over 40 Indian soldiers and the Indian government blamed Pakistan for the terror attack. However, Pakistan categorically denied that it was behind the deadly attack nor its soil was used for the crime.

Days later, Indian jets intruded aerial boundaries and dropped payloads in Balakot, claiming to have destroyed terrorists’ camp, however Pakistan maintained that India didn’t provide any proof to substantiate its claim about terrorists’ presence in the area. Pakistan also asserted that no damage was done in the wake of Indian strikes.
