FACT CHECK: TV news anchor Hafsa Chaudhry is not among the plane crash victims

A PIA jet coming from Lahore to Karachi crashed on Friday (May 22) carrying around 98 passengers on board. Most of the people died.

According to a report, model Zara Abid, anchor Hafsa Chaudhry and 24 News Director Ansar Naqvi were reportedly killed in a plane crash.

However, it later transpired that Hafsa was among those killed in the deadly crash. Some websites wrongly circulated name of the anchor.

The crashed plane had 98 people on board, including seven crew members, and crashed during landing.

So far, three passengers, including two men and a woman, have miraculously survived the PIA plane crash.
