PTI govt decides to make 49 changes in election law under ‘reforms’

The government has decided to make 49 changes in the Election Act 2017.

During a press conference in Islamabad, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry said that the real issue is trust in the election and its results.

The PML-N said that RTS was sitting and rigged, we asked to identify the constituencies which did not happen. The election in Karachi has also been rigged. The PML-N is accusing the PPP of rigging.

However, the Prime Minister had already formed a parliamentary committee on rigging on the first day.

Fawad Chaudhry said that failure to bring electoral reforms will hamper political and democratic development. Therefore, they want such an election. They want the result to be acceptable to every party. They are proposing reforms in the electoral system and want to bring a voting machine so that the result Come forward

Chaudhry said that the opposition says that the Election Commission should play a role in the reforms but does not want to talk about electoral reforms, the vote will be won only by respecting the parliament, in the Senate election we said open voting, Yousuf Raza Gilani As is the case with everyone who became a senator, there was an uproar again when Gilani lost the Senate election.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the Prime Minister had directly invited the opposition for election reforms. The electoral process would make the election process transparent and fast with the electoral voting machine. However, the opposition has gained power through the politics of slips all its life.

On the occasion, Babar Awan said that they want to get rid of allegations of fraud forever, there are two options, let the current system work or change it, Prime Minister Imran Khan took another path and fixed the electoral system. Therefore, we are going to amend section 103 for the use of electronic voting machines. If electoral reforms are not carried out, there will be a crisis of confidence in the constitutional institutions.
