Pakistan, Australia, Test match, Naeemul Haque

PM’s adviser Naeemul Haque seeks removal of Misbah after team’s poor show

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeem-ul-Haque has said that the Pakistan cricket team needs a new head coach and chief selector after the dismal performance of the team against Australia on the opening day of second Test.

Australia declared on 589 for three as David Warner scored 335 unbeaten, leaving Pakistan with a huge battle to stay in touch on day one.

Taking wickets in Australia has always been a challenge for Pakistan however the consistent bad performances by the away team has led PM Imran Khan’s confidant to believe that certain changes are necessary for Pakistan to perform better.

“Terrible continuous performance by our team in Australia needs a change of the coach/chief selector,” said Naeem.

“There is not even a slight hope for a decent performance,” he added.
