Pakistan running its daily affairs through loans, says minister

Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar has said the government has to take loans to run government affairs on a daily basis.

Addressing the Reform Agenda Ceremony of Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar said that we have gone through a very difficult and successful journey of economy for three years; our current account deficit is now in surplus.

The volume of economic deficit in the country is increasing every year, the foundations have been laid for building the economy, now the journey of development will start from here.

The Federal Minister said that the growth of the economy can be achieved through a stable policy. Paid has developed a framework for the growth of Pakistan’s economy. Growth does not happen automatically, there is thinking behind it.

“What is the nature of, it is necessary to know, we have to take loans to run daily government affairs, even to run daily expenses, if loans are needed, it is very important to bring stability in the economy, the economy cannot move forward, the much of federation’s power has gone to the provinces.”
