The government on June 30 extended deadline for declaration of assets till July 3.
The announcement was made by Finance Advisor Abdul Hafeez Shiekh at a press conference.
He was accompanied by Minister of State for Revenue Hammad Azhar and Chairman of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Shabbar Zaidi.
The adviser said people can benefit from government’s asset declaration scheme till July 3, during bank timings.
He added, overseas Pakistanis must benefit from the scheme. Hafeez Sheikh said the scheme was in the last phase.
The adviser said the government intends to form a commission on benami properties.
