Pakistan’s former army chief Bajwa abused by Afghan citizen in France

A regrettable incident occurred in France where General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Pakistan’s former Chief of Army Staff, was subjected to harassment during his vacation.

A video clip of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing General Bajwa being verbally abused in his native language by an individual speaking in Afghan. The incident took place while General Bajwa and his wife were seen on a roadside in Annecy.

The identity of the man involved in the incident remains unknown, but he can be seen hurling insults at General (r) Bajwa. In response, the former COAS warns the man that he will be handed over to the police. However, the man does not seem to be deterred and continues to insult General Bajwa.

The video gained attention on social media, with users translating the man’s words, which expressed anger towards Bajwa regarding alleged human rights violations, wrongdoing, and accusations of aiding the Taliban in destroying Afghanistan, a war-torn nation.

Journalists and activists on social platforms also took notice of the video and condemned the incident. Some criticized the act of verbally abusing someone who is with their family, while others mentioned former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has been critical of General Bajwa and has blamed him for his own removal from office, as well as the political and economic turmoil in Pakistan.
