The dwellers of Naya Nazimabad, Karachi, have knocked the door of the court after the administration demand ‘illegal charges’.
The residents approached the Sindh High Court seeking its intervention against collection of ‘illegal charges’ by the housing project management.
The administration has been stopped from cutting off their power supply.
The petitioners said an application regarding illegal charges was already pending with the court. They said the management have cautioned them from entering a legal battle, otherwise their power connections will be cut off.
The residents complained that they don’t even have K-Electric meters, despite payment of charges for it.
After hearing the petition, the court issued summon to the Naya Nazimabad management for Nov 5, 2020.
