Man’s attempt to rape 10-year-old girl at construction site in Karachi foiled

A man in his 30s attempted to rape a 10-year-old girl at an under construction plot in Karachi’s outskirt area but he was collared by people in the vicinity.

According to details, the man abducted a girl, Shabana, from Pipri, Bin Qasim area along with his accomplice and brought to her an under construction building at the Benazir Society where he attempted to sexually assault the girl.

Security guards stationed at the plots sensed two suspicious persons entering the plot, hence they chased them and caught them trying to  violate the little girl.

The guards immediately collared both the men and called police helpline and informed them about the incident.

Police reached the site in a few minutes and both the culprits were handed over to the law enforcers.

The FIR has also been lodged against the two culprits. Further investigation is underway.

The rising rape cases in the country have triggered an alarm bell countrywide as panic and fear growing louder among the public and they are calling for war-footing measures from law enforcers to curb such incidents.
