Indian woman barred from escaping thru Kartarpur with Pakistani boyfriend: report

The recently-inaugurated Kartarpur Corridor between Pakistan and India is now reportedly being used by online lovers to meet each other.

According to reports, a woman from Haryana, India tried to escape through Kartarpur Corridor to enter Pakistan and meet her boyfriend.

A report published in Urdu daily Jang claims that on November 23, a Sikh girl entered Pakistan as a Sikh pilgrim in order to meet her Pakistani boyfriend at the Darbar Sahib Gurdwara.

The girl, identified as Manjeet Kaur, met her boyfriend on the first floor of the holy site. The Pakistani boy, hailing from the city of Faisalabad, had come to the gurdwara along with a couple of friends, including a woman.

Kaur decided to stay in Pakistan following the conversation with her boyfriend. In this regard, the woman who had accompanied the Faisalabad man gave the girl her visitor card.

Kaur then proceeded to discard her pilgrim card in a dustbin in order to avoid any mishap. However, Pakistani authorities foiled the plan and confronted the couple before the girl could escape into the country.
